WHO WE ARE

Eternal devotion

The Ferk family has a wine-growing and winemaking tradition going back several generations. Producing wines of the highest quality for the wide market is the goal of Milan Ferk, the current owner, who has had a passion for the vine since his early youth. As a teenager he took over the management of a small family estate and began to develop his love of viticulture in the wine cellar of the old homestead.

Over the years, he has tested many methods of winemaking, but he has always been drawn back to the roots, to the traditional and natural way of production, which he now implements on his extended estates and in the new wine cellar.

Feel peace within

WINE CELLAR AND ESTATE

We are in Metava, a hamlet of Malečnik, located east of Maribor between the Drava River and Pesnica valleys. Vineyards begin here, a kind of gateway to the Slovenske gorice hills, and the Maribor Wine Route also passes through. Our estate is nestled on the slopes surrounding a secluded valley. We are not far from the hustle and bustle of the city, but here you will be taken over by a special peace.

Our vines are planted between 300 and 340 meters above sea level, partly on marl and partly on limestone soil. The latter clearly influences the taste of our extraordinary Blue Limberger.

Estate size: 20 hectares
Number of vines: 60.000
Wine cellar capacity: 150.000 liters
